On September 3, photo exhibition “Manors of Lithuania” by the Lithuanian photographers Leonas Garbačauskas and Diana Garbačauskienė will be opened at Tartu University History Museum (Lossi 25, Tartu 51003). The exhibition will be opened until September 29, 2013. The exhibition “Manors of Lithuania” consists of the photographs of 20 manors (140 photos in total). The exhibition not only presents restored manors, but also ones that are awaiting their revival. 7 photos are intended for each manor – one of a large size, presenting the main (masters’) remaining manor building and 6 square photos of a manor arranged in one plane, introducing the architectural details or separate decorative elements of the manor. The aim of the exhibition “Manors of Lithuania” is to introduce the viewers to the rich architectural past of Lithuanian manors and to give tribute to the EU investments, various Lithuanian institutions, and private patrons for the continuation of the life of Lithuanian manors with the help of professional and aesthetically attractive photographs.
