In Türi, respect was paid at the memorial grave of pre-war Lithuanian officer and deportee to Siberia Kazimieras Truškauskas

On November 1 in Türi cemetery, the respect was paid at the memorial grave of pre-war Lithuanian Army officer and deportee to Siberia Kazimieras Truškauskas.

On a Day commemorating All Dead and Saints, the representatives of the Lithuanian Embassy to Estonia, NATO Cyber Defense Center and Lithuanian students laid a wreath and lit the candles on the grave of K.Truškauskas, where the wooden monument by the Lithuanian sculptor D.Čiapas was erected in 1998 to honour the Lithuanian Army officer.

K.Truškauskas (born in 1912) was a lieutenant of the Lithuanian Army before the Second World War. In 1940, he was deported by soviets to Siberia. After 18 years deportation ended, he got married to an Estonian lady and moved to Estonia, where he died in the town of Türi in 1995. K.Truškauskas was also the first honorary member of the Lithuanian Community in Estonia.
