EXIBITION "LITHUANIA: CULTURE AND HISTORY"
Embassy of Lithuania in Tallinn is happy to inform that in the coming year - 2009 - Lithuania is celebrating 1000 years of Lithuania in history. In 1009 first time the name of Lithuania was mentioned in written records in the Quedlinburg Annals (Germany). Since that date Lithuania is counting its long and diverse history.
On the occasion of this memorable jubilee Embassy of Lithuania in Tallinn is presenting the international exhibition LITHUANIA: CULTURE AND HISTORY organized by Lithuanian Art Museum. One thousand years history and culture of Lithuania is narrated by this exhibition filled with historical facts, pictures, photos, extracts from documents, illustrations and spectacular views or our country. This exhibition has already been presented in Finland and is to be brought to different countries in Europe, America and other continents in the coming year.
The exhibition will be open November 26 – December 18, 2008 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 1.00 – 4.00 p.m. at the premises of the Embassy (Uus tn. 15, Tallinn). The entrance is free.
