On 11 March, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Estonia hosted a diplomatic reception and a concert at the Tallinn Philharmonic House of Blackheads. Lithuanian and Estonian national anthems were performed together with guests of the event by Lithuanian jazz quintet CinAmono.

On the 6th of December a Christmas celebration took place at the Embassy of Lithuania in Tallinn, bringing together both Lithuanian community and Embassy‘s employees for a joint evening.

On August 23rd a number of events in Tallinn marked the 30th Anniversary of the Baltic Way. In the morning, a column of Lithuanian cars emblazoned with the flags of the three Baltic States and a special national attribute, started their Baltic Way from the Tall Hermann Tower to Vilnius. Ambassador of Lithuania to Estonia Giedrius Apuokas and representative of Tallinn Municipality Vladimir Svet welcomed the participants of “Jeep Club Lithuania” car trip and the Lithuanian community in Estonia gathered to farewell ceremony. During the ceremony, the flags of Tallinn were handed over for the participants.

On August 20, President Gitanas Nausėda had a working visit to Estonia which celebrated the day of Restoration of Independence. The President met with the President Kersti Kaljulaid, Prime Minister Jüri Ratas and President of the Riigikogu Henn Põlluaas. During the meetings the main discussions were bilateral political and economic cooperation, security situation in the Baltic region, NATO defense plans as well as EU agenda, including negotiations on the next EU financial perspective.
