On 23 May, Lithuania opened its Honorary Consulate in Sapporo after a year-long pause. Masahiro Fujii was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Hokkaido, Japan‘s largest prefecture. The Ambassador Gediminas Varvuolis presented him a consular patent.
On 20 May, the Ambassador of Lithuania to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Lina Viltrakienė presented her letters of credence to the Secretary-General of the OECD Angel Gurría. After the ceremony, the Ambassador and the Secretary-General discussed important issues related to and perspectives of Lithuania's OECD membership.
On 12 April, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania summoned a representative of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Lithuania and handed a note over threats posed to the employees of the Lithuanian representation in the Russian Federation and their family members.
On 10 April, the Ambassador of Lithuania Julius Pranevičius presented his letters of credence to the President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid.
On 9 April, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Switzerland Edvilas Raudonikis presented his letters of credence to the President of the Swiss Confederation Ueli Maurer.
On 29 March, in response to the joint demarche of the Permanent Representatives of three Baltic States and on the basis of historic documents, the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) published the real dates of the start of membership of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia in its public communication. All three Baltic States joined the ITU in the beginning of 1920ies and will soon mark centenaries of their ITU membership. Lithuania acceded to the ITU on 1 July 1923.
On 27 March, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius opened the new Honorary Consulate of Lithuania in Tampere, Finland. From now on, five Honorary Consuls of Lithuania operate in Finland.

On 12 February, the Honorary Consulate of Lithuania was opened in Paraguay. The Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius attended the official opening ceremony.
On 13 February, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Austria Donatas Kušlys presented his letters of credence to the President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska.
On 13 February, the Ambassador of Lithuania Gediminas Varvuolis presented his letters of credence to the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo.
On 6 February, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to NATO, Ambassador Vytautas Leškevičius together with other representatives of Allies signed the Accession Protocol of the future Republic of North Macedonia to the North Atlantic Treaty. The solemn ceremony of signing was held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
On 4 February, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the United Nations, Ambassador Audra Plepytė deposited an instrument of accession to the Convention on Road Traffic with the United Nations.
